Philip Pettit to give IJS lecture

The Irish Jurisprudence Society in association with School of Law, Trinity College Dublin presents a public lecture by  Professor Philip Pettit, Princeton University:

‘The Responsibilities and Rights of Corporations’

to be chaired by Dr Iseult Honohan, UCD School of Politics and International Relations

This lecture will take place at 7.30pm on 27 June 2012 in the Davis Theatre, Arts Building, Trinity College Dublin. It is free to attend and open to all. No advance registration is required.

Renowned philosopher Philip Pettit is currently the Laurance S Rockefeller University Professor of Politics and Human Values at Princeton University. His books include The Common Mind, Republicanism: A Theory of Freedom and Government and, with Christian List, Group Agency. Professor Pettit is from Ballygar, Co Galway, near Roscommon town, and studied at NUI Maynooth and UCD. He has taught philosophy around the world, including at Cambridge University and Australian National University. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and honorary member of the Royal Irish Academy.
