This is a call for papers for the Jurisprudence Section of the conference. We would welcome proposals for papers on any theme relating to the theory or philosophy of law, including any reflecting the Conference theme which, this year, is “The Impact of Legal Scholarship”.
The 2008 Annual SLS Conference will take place on 15th-18th September 2008 in London. The Jurisprudence Section is in Group B and will therefore comprise two slots on Wednesday 17 September and two slots on Thursday 18 September. We anticipate that each slot will comprise two papers followed by discussion.
If you are interested in presenting a paper please e-mail Mary Ford and Phil Bielby by Monday 3 March. At this stage we need only an expression of interest from you and a broad indication of the subject matter of your proposed paper. The deadline for submitting final titles will be towards the end of March.
Convenors have been asked to make it clear to potential speakers that they have to book and pay to attend the conference.
If you have submitted, or are intending to submit, a paper to another section, please could you inform us of this when submitting your Jurisprudence proposal.
